Pinterest tips are useful for everyone from the newbie as well as the seasoned marketer because you can always learn something new.
How many of you remember when Pinterest started?..and how many of you use Pinterest as part of your marketing strategy?
In my case I started to use Pinterest late 2010 after seeing a really cool lady sharing these things called pins. When ever I would go there I was intrigued by what was going on, but I never had a clue as to the real importance of Pinterest.
To me, it was all about these awesome quotes and at times, those yummy recipes.
It took a while for me to get in the door because at that time, it was by invitation only and you had to get on a waiting list… I still remember looking in my mail day after day to see if I would get in. You can imagine how thrilled I was when I got in to see what this service was really all about.
Many claim you can join free and make a pot of money, but once you sign up in the free section, you soon discover you really don’t stand any chance of making a dime without first spending money on some kind of kit or products, or super duper back office. Furthermore, you quickly find that you’re getting a whole lot more spam in your inbox and telephone spam than before, because the people who have the information you just gave them are selling it all over the place.
The good news is that there are lots of companies that will never charge you a dime to become an affiliate, and will pay you override commissions several levels deep! Some will even pay a finder’s fee, every time you sign up a qualified affiliate.
Don’t overthink it! One of the reasons so many people don’t start doing the things they need to do in order to achieve success is failing to start! You can spend endless hours in planning, but sometimes it’s better to just start and learn and tweak it as you go. A mother bird doesn’t spend hours teaching her young how to fly before getting them to try. She pushes them out of the nest, and they either learn to fly on the way down, or they crash.
My suggestion to you, today, is that you pick one of these to start with that you can implement with the least amount of effort and time, and put it to work. In fact, everyone should reorder this list for themselves in the order best suited for their own marketing efforts and style. This list is all about making your own website unique, so that people will visit your site instead of another.
There are a few SlideShare tips that I would like to share with you that I learned from my own mistakes…
1. When creating a SlideSare, always think visual and less words! I have seen some very good presentations on SlideShare that have very few people reading, simply because the person creating their presentations “talked too much”. When you realize that visual information is processed 60,000 times faster than text then you will understand that good images are very important.
2. I love playing with fonts, but you really need to think about a couple of things..one being your reader being able to read what you are saying. If you have problems reading or deciphering what you are saying, then you can count on others having the same problem! Using a few different fonts for interest is O.K, but don’t go crazy no matter how you are tempted and keep to fonts that will compliment each other.
